The peptides from the Bonito fish have been extracted, purified and are independently assayed for heavy metals, pesticides and other contaminants. These peptides have ace inhibitor activity which lowers blood pressure. It exerts its effect by inhibiting the (ace) angiotenson converting enzyme which may reduce elevated blood pressure.
