Paul Schattauer MD

Dr. Paul Schattauer or “Dr. Paul” has been a family doctor since 1987. He is the founder and owner of The Green Medical Practice which opened in the summer of 2010. Dr. Paul grew up in Iowa and his first exposure to medicine was in Lima, Peru where, just out of college, he volunteered at an obstetrical medical clinic working with an underserved population. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa School of Medicine.  He spent a year studying theology at Yale Divinity School before completing a residency in family practice at St. Luke’s Hospital, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) and a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine (AAFP). In 2010 he received the “Breastfeeding Friendly Doctor’s Award” from The Chicago Area Breastfeeding Coalition (CABC). He has lived in the Chicago area since 1987. He and his wife, Marcia, and two sons, Spencer and Lucas have lived in Oak Park since 2002.

Jessica Keating ND,DC

Dr. Jessica Keating has been in the field of natural medicine for the past six years after spending six years pursuing two doctorate degrees in chiropractic and naturopathic medicine. She practices as a natural primary care provider utilizing dietary counseling, lifestyle modification, homeopathy, herbal medicine, and holistic counseling. These tools allow her to effectively treat a wide variety of conditions. She specializes in treating women’s health, GI issues, stress/fatigue, endocrine disorders, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, sleep issues, anxiety, depression, infertility, and autoimmunity in addition to all manner of musculoskeletal concerns (back pain, neck pain, knee pain, arthritis, acute/chronic injuries, headaches, etc). Another one of Dr. Jessica’s strengths includes utilizing her strong background in interpreting blood work such as food sensitivity panels, hormonal testing, and other functional lab work.

As a firm believer in taking an integrative approach to patient care, Dr. Jessica utilizes nutritional counseling and supplement prescribing as essential cornerstones of helping her patients reclaim wellness.

Along with her extensive background in the health realm, Jessica is also a proud mama to a little girl and loves traveling, hiking, and camping with her family - just ask her which mountain was her favorite to climb!

Jennifer Jordan is our new Office Manager at The Green Medical Practice! She decided to make a life transition from over 15 years in manufacturing. After much consideration about a life change, she comes to us curious about naturopathic medicine for herself and her family. She enjoys traveling with her family and currently resides in Lombard with her husband, three kids, and dog.

MARCIA SCHATTAUER

Marcia Schattauer works mostly behind the scene at the GMP doing booking keeping and helping Dr. Paul with visioning. Her career as a Dental Hygienist gives her a lot of experience in managing a small medical office. She also fills in where ever needed to support the staff and keep the office running smoothly.
